Meet The Team

Candie Johnson, a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, has been a nurse for over 15 years.  She is a native of Uniontown, AL, but currently resides in Tuscaloosa, AL. Her medical background includes critical care, longterm acute care, geriatric care, mental health, leadership, and corrections. Ms. Johnson is passionate about the nursing profession. She is a strong patient advocate, always working to enhance the care setting to promote excellent patient 

care and outcomes, while promoting a healthy work environment.  

 

Her passion for nursing and the drive to continue her education led her to pursue her lifelong goal of becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is excited to grow and learn from the outstanding CEO/Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Crystal Mullen-Johnson, at Strive Counseling. 

 

In addition to her professional work and educational endeavors, Ms. Johnson loves being a mother to her teenage son. They stay busy with traveling, her son’s sports, and other recreational 

activities.
