Shinice R. Hutchins is an Associate Licensed Counselor practicing under the supervision of Dr. Kezziah McDaniel, LPC-S, EdD. She works with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, self-esteem challenges, and difficulties with boundaries.

Shinice takes a warm, collaborative, and person-centered approach to counseling, incorporating Person-Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to meet each client’s individual needs. She is passionate about creating a safe, welcoming, and nonjudgmental space where everyone is encouraged to show up authentically and feel heard and supported.

Shinice earned Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Alabama-Birmingham. She earned her Master of science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of West Alabama and is currently pursuing her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision at Walden University. She also offers evening appointments to make counseling more accessible for clients with busy schedules.
